Why did we make Plastic Factory?
Our journey began in 2022
Just after the Pandemic we had amassed boxes of brilliant board games but found that storing them and having the parts stay where you wanted them was a nightmare, we found a solution which consisted of 3D printed inserts to put the parts in, safely and neatly, and store in the original box. This meant you could still display the boxes but also have everything organised. It was perfect! As we had 3D printers already we started to print these and now offer them for you!
I ordered a custom 3D printed insert from Plastic Factory for my Terraforming Mars set, and I couldn’t be happier. The fit and finish are absolutely perfect everything has its own spot, and setup time has been cut down dramatically. You can really tell these guys care about board gaming; the design feels intuitive and practical, not just functional. The communication was brilliant too they even checked in to make sure I had the right edition before printing. Easily one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my collection.
